Hey there, Alberta residents! If you’ve been hearing about wildfires in our beautiful province, you’re not alone. As of now, there are 47 wildfires burning in the Forest Protection Area. But don't worry—none are classified as out of control!
Since January 1st, over 1,000 wildfires have started, affecting more than 670,000 hectares. Thankfully, more than 1,400 firefighters, including some from Australia and New Zealand, are working hard to keep us safe.
If you’re living in affected areas, it’s essential to stay updated on evacuation orders. You can find the latest information at www.alberta.ca/emergency. Remember, if you see smoke or flames, call 310-FIRE!
