As of August 29, Alberta is facing a challenging wildfire situation with 47 active wildfires across the Forest Protection Area. Out of these, two are currently out of control, while the rest are being contained or are under control.
Since the start of the year, over 1,036 wildfires have burned more than 671,000 hectares of land. Thankfully, more than 1,300 firefighters, including teams from Australia and New Zealand, are working tirelessly to tackle these blazes.
