Building a Welcoming Alberta: Ethnocultural and Anti-Racism Grants
Alberta is shining bright with its vibrant cultural communities! A recent investment of $13.5 million over three years in the Ethnocultural and Anti-Racism Grants is here to help community organizations foster inclusion and reduce discrimination.
Have you ever wondered how to make a difference in your community? The Ethnocultural Grant Program supports projects aimed at connecting people from different backgrounds, with funding of up to $50,000 available! But that's not all; you can get up to $15,000 to celebrate diversity through unique initiatives.
Just take a look at the wonderful Contemplating the Tapestry of Filipino Canadian Connections art exhibit. Thanks to this grant, it showcased the rich interwoven stories of Filipino and Canadian cultures. Amazing, right?
On the flip side, the Anti-Racism Grant Program is all about providing the tools needed to combat racism. Up to $10,000 is available for educational initiatives, with an additional $5,000 earmarked for raising awareness on racism's impacts.
Interested in applying? Applications close on December 19. Don't miss out on the information sessions on October 21 for Ethnocultural Grants and October 23 for Anti-Racism Grants!
