Temporary Homes for Denare Beach Residents: A Community Initiative
Big news for the residents of Denare Beach and Creighton! Last week, local leaders revealed an exciting plan to provide temporary housing for those displaced during the tough winter months.
Up to 35 cozy modular homes will be set up in these communities, offering displaced individuals and families a ray of hope. The aim is to keep everyone close to their familiar surroundings and essential services during this recovery phase.
Starting in October, these temporary units will be available, making it easier for residents to rebuild and recover. Tim McLeod, the Minister of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety, emphasized how crucial it is for the government and the Recovery Task Team to support the community. Mayor Carl Lentowicz of Denare Beach echoed this sentiment, stating that working together to assist residents is a top priority.
Creighton's Mayor Bruce Fidler also expressed his happiness about helping Denare Beach residents, showing how important community support is during challenging times.
