This year’s Canada Summer Games were a fantastic celebration of talent and teamwork, and Team Alberta truly stole the show!

Over the course of 17 thrilling days, Alberta’s athletes showcased their incredible skills, hard work, and sportsmanship, bringing home a total of 81 medals – 22 gold, 30 silver, and 29 bronze. Their fantastic effort landed them in fourth place overall!

Thanks to the Alberta government’s generous support of more than $1.6 million, including funding specifically for athlete training, our athletes were able to shine brightly on this national stage. Major kudos to every athlete who participated, many of whom achieved personal bests!

Among the standout performances were Jin Shomachuk's gold medal in the hammer throw and Rachel Grenke's remarkable 3.85-meter pole vault. And let’s not forget, both the men’s and women’s basketball teams brought home gold medals!
