Saskatchewan Sustainability Trade Thailand Partnership

In a significant step towards sustainability and economic growth, the Government of Saskatchewan has just entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA). This partnership aims to enhance technical expertise, share knowledge, and boost capacity in sectors that benefit both Saskatchewan and Thailand.

Focusing particularly on the energy sector and low carbon technologies, this MOU lays the groundwork for some exciting pilot projects in Thailand. Trade and Export Development Minister Warren Kaeding expressed his optimism about finding new ways to diversify Saskatchewan’s export markets.

With Asia being a vital market for Saskatchewan, this partnership not only strengthens economic ties but also aligns with global sustainability goals. The TCMA, representing Thailand's top cement producers, plays a key role in building the country's infrastructure and advancing the 2050 Net Zero Cement and Concrete Roadmap.

As Minister Kaeding stated, "This is just the beginning of a strong and fruitful relationship between Saskatchewan and TCMA!" Let’s keep our fingers crossed for this collaboration as it paves the way for a more sustainable future!
