Saskatchewan Seniors Week Elderly Support

Hey there! 🌟 Did you know that from September 28 to October 4, Saskatchewan celebrates Seniors' Week? This is a special time dedicated to honoring the amazing contributions of our older adults!

Seniors Minister Lori Carr shares how vibrant and engaged our seniors are. The government is committed to ensuring they have access to top-notch programs and services tailored just for them!

In fact, there's a whopping $7.1 million boost in the provincial budget aimed at improving care services for everyone, especially our seniors. This investment will also enable a smoother transition from hospitals to suitable home care for patients.

And there's more! Starting April 1, seniors aged 65 and older can benefit from a $23 million investment in Continuous and Flash Glucose Monitors. These handy gadgets help diabetic individuals keep track of their glucose levels more safely.

Let’s also talk about financial help! The government is increasing the seniors supplement by $500 a year for the next four years, making a real difference in income for many seniors.

From free nursing care to reduced costs for long-term care, there are numerous services designed to support our seniors in living independently within their communities.
