Saskatchewan's Legislative Session Launches with a Grand Ceremony

The moment has arrived! On October 22, 2025, Lieutenant Governor Bernadette McIntyre will officially open the Second Session of the Thirtieth Legislature. This inaugural event will take place at the beautiful Saskatchewan Legislative Building, and you're invited to be part of this special occasion!

McIntyre, who was installed earlier this year, expressed her excitement about participating in this vital ceremony. She'll deliver the Speech from the Throne, a cherished tradition that highlights our history and values as a province within Canada's democratic framework.

The public is warmly invited to watch the opening ceremony, starting at 1:20 p.m. at 2405 Legislative Drive. Premier Scott Moe will greet McIntyre, leading the traditional ceremonies that mark the start of a new legislative session.
