As of June 2025, there are over 51,000 hardworking individuals making a difference in Saskatchewan's construction industry. This increase from 42,700 in 2024 shows just how vital this sector is for job creation and economic growth.

The construction industry contributed 7.1% to our province's GDP in 2024, and with an increase of 13.2% in value, we’re witnessing a real boom! New residents moving in have led to a surge in housing starts—up 84% in the first half of 2025!

Saskatchewan is not just building homes; we’re building a community. Major projects and infrastructure developments are key to our strategy for a connected and prosperous future. Our Trade and Export Development Minister, Warren Kaeding, emphasizes that more people are choosing Saskatchewan as their home, leading to an exciting construction boom.
