Police Accountability: Officers Charged in Alberta Incident

In a significant recent development, two police officers in Alberta have been charged with breach of trust. This action follows an investigation by the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) that found reasonable grounds for prosecution.

On August 27, Sgt. Daniel Mayowski from Westlock and Sgt. Sheldon Robb from Morinville were charged under Section 122 of the Criminal Code. They received appearance notices and are set for their first court appearances on October 1 and 2.
