New Legal Aid Agreement Boosts Access to Justice in Alberta
Exciting news for Albertans! A brand-new governance agreement has just been signed, aiming to ensure that everyone in Alberta can access affordable legal help. This agreement, which is part of ongoing efforts by the Alberta government, will keep legal aid services strong and responsive to those who need them most—especially our vulnerable communities.
Starting from July 16, this agreement will run all the way until July 2030! What makes it special? It introduces a structured way to settle disputes and promises ongoing discussions between key partners. This means that Legal Aid Alberta can continue to evolve and meet the needs of our communities.
