Celebrating New Canadians at the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship!
Get ready to cheer not just for the hockey players but also for the new citizens joining our great nation! As the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship kicks off in Canada, a special ceremony will take place to honor 26 individuals from 14 different countries who are taking the Oath of Citizenship.
The Honourable Jenna Sudds, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, will welcome these new Canadians on behalf of the Honourable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship. It's a heartwarming moment to celebrate diversity and inclusion!
Citizenship Judge Rania Sfeir will lead the ceremony, marking a significant step in the lives of these new citizens. Isn’t it exciting to see how sports can bring us all together?
