Great news for those looking to immigrate to Canada! Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has recently issued 1,250 new invitations to apply (ITAs) via the Express Entry system specifically for trade occupations.

If you are a candidate in this category, you needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 505, and you must have created your Express Entry profile before November 5, 2025, at 10:36 p.m. UTC.

This draw is significant because it's the first one this year for trade occupations, following a long gap since the last draw in October 2024! The rising cut-off score reflects a growing number of candidates, making things a bit more competitive.

So far in 2025, IRCC has issued a total of 65,547 ITAs across various categories. With a focus on Provincial Nominee Programs and other groups, this year has already seen some exciting opportunities!

For those in trade occupations, expect more ITAs soon! IRCC anticipates issuing around 3,300 ITAs for this category in the latter half of 2025. If you’re considering applying, now might be a great time to get ready!
