Exciting times are here for Moose Jaw as the community celebrates the grand opening of its very first joint-use elementary school! Premier Scott Moe and other officials gathered to cut the ribbon on a state-of-the-art facility designed to serve the growing and diverse population of the city.

This new school is a unique blend, home to both Coteau Hills Elementary and Our Lady of Hope Catholic School. It merges four smaller elementary schools into one fantastic learning environment filled with modern classrooms and amazing resources.

Students can expect a multipurpose cultural room, a shared kitchen lab, a Maker Space Studio, and even a child care center for up to 51 little ones—all under one roof! Premier Moe highlighted how this school brings together education and childcare, creating a supportive space for our young learners and their families.

Investing $68.2 million into this project, the Government of Saskatchewan emphasizes its commitment to future-focused education, ensuring every child has a chance to thrive. The school can accommodate 1,100 students from Pre-K to Grade 8, making it a hub of growth and learning.

As Ryan Boughen, the Director of Education, pointed out, this building was designed with input from students and staff, focusing on collaboration and creativity. The school's philosophy is rooted in understanding how every student’s presence counts.

So here’s to a bright future at Moose Jaw’s new joint-use school—a place where hope, learning, and community spirit will flourish for many years to come!
