This past Labour Day, exciting news emerged from the Ontario Government! They're making it smoother for out-of-province workers in regulated professions to begin their journey in Ontario. With the new “As of Right” framework, certified professionals can kick-start their careers in this beautiful province in as little as 10 days!

Traditionally, the lengthy process could take up to six months. But starting January 1, 2026, certified workers from various professions can step right into their roles here. That means you could be working in Ontario just ten business days after validating your credentials!

Wondering how to benefit from this? It’s straightforward:

1. Identify the regulatory authority for your profession in Ontario.
2. Submit a labour mobility application as per their guidelines.

After that, you’ll receive a decision in about a month! Note that certain health professions have specific rules, but don't worry—many others are included in this simplified process.
