Discover how Alberta supports diversity and inclusion through exciting grant opportunities!
Alberta Community Inclusion grants

Alberta is a vibrant tapestry of cultures, and the government is taking steps to ensure it remains a welcoming place for everyone.

With a total investment of $13.5 million over three years, the Ethnocultural and Anti-Racism Grants aim to reduce discrimination and foster inclusion in our communities. These grants are available for local organizations dedicated to creating opportunities for different cultural groups to connect and celebrate their uniqueness.

The Ethnocultural Grant Program offers up to $50,000 for initiatives that promote collaboration among ethnic and Indigenous groups, and up to $15,000 for projects that celebrate diversity. For instance, the grant played a crucial role in the Contemplating the Tapestry of Filipino Canadian Connections art exhibit that elevated Filipino Canadian narratives.

Additionally, the Anti-Racism Grant Program, providing up to $10,000, focuses on educating the public and fortifying community organizations to combat discrimination. This funding has helped organizations plan impactful community programs and discussions about racism.

If you’re part of a community organization in Alberta, grant applications are open until December 19. There will also be information sessions on October 21 for the Ethnocultural Grant and October 23 for the Anti-Racism Grant, where you can learn more!

Let’s work together to make Alberta an even more inclusive province!
