Food Day Canada was started back in 2003 with a mission to support our beef farmers. It’s one of the longest-running celebrations of Canadian food, and it reminds us of how essential the agriculture industry is to our country's food security.

Alberta is a key player in this industry, boasting world-renowned beef, delicious potatoes, high-quality wheat, and even premium rye whiskey! These are staples not just in Canada but also around the globe.

Our farmers and ranchers continually innovate to meet the growing global demand for food. In fact, the food and beverage sector is the second-largest manufacturing sector in Alberta!
