Celebrate 120 Years of Alberta: Join the Fun on Alberta Day!
September 1st marks a special occasion in Alberta as we celebrate Alberta Day, a day filled with pride, joy, and reflection. Established back in 1905, Alberta has grown through hard work and a spirit of possibility. This year, we're not just remembering the past but also celebrating our incredible present and future!
This year, the celebrations will kick off on August 31st at 11 a.m. in both Edmonton at the legislature grounds and Calgary's Heritage Park. It’s a perfect opportunity to join fellow Albertans in recognizing our shared history and achievements.
Get ready for a vibrant atmosphere with free cultural performances, fun kids' crafts, tasty food trucks, and local vendors. It's a day where we celebrate our entrepreneurial spirit and the deep-rooted values that connect us all.
In the evening, you won't want to miss the local music talents! The Prairie States, a band with 12 Alberta Music Awards under their belt, will headline in Edmonton while Calgary will have the talented Jake Mathews take the stage. It's a perfect way to enjoy the night and embrace the community spirit!
As the night winds down, expect to be amazed by colorful aerial drone shows lighting up the sky, telling the beautiful story of Alberta. This Alberta Day is truly a celebration of who we are and where we've come from, so gather your friends and family, and let’s celebrate together!
