Beware the Investor Scam Targeting Saskatchewan Residents!
Beware the Investor Scam Targeting Saskatchewan Residents!
Hey, Saskatchewan! We need to talk about something important. Recently, there’s been a scam making waves on social media, and it’s using the name of Prime Minister Mark Carney to target you.
The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan (FCAA) has issued a warning about fake investment platforms called Invictus-FX and Union Trade. These scams are trying to lure you in with promises of trading opportunities in everything from stocks to cryptocurrencies.
But here’s the catch: Neither of these companies is registered with the FCAA to offer these services in Saskatchewan! So, what should you do?
Always double-check before investing. Look for registration status at aretheyregistered.ca. And remember, investment decisions shouldn’t be made based on endorsements from public figures. Scammers can easily create fake news articles to trick you into believing their lies.
If you’ve interacted with Invictus-FX, Union Trade, or anyone claiming to work with them, reach out to the FCAA at 306-787-5936 for advice.
Stay safe and informed, Saskatchewan!
