Stay Safe: Wildfire Updates for Alberta Residents
Current wildfires are affecting many areas in Alberta, and staying informed is crucial for your safety. As of July 29, there are currently 49 wildfires in the Forest Protection Area, with 10 considered out of control. Thankfully, 31 fires are under control, showing the hard work of our dedicated firefighters!
More than 1,400 firefighters are tackling these fires, using everything from heavy equipment to air tankers. They’ve come from nearby provinces and even countries like Australia and Chile to help keep us safe!

Fire bans are in place in various areas, and it’s important to follow these restrictions to help prevent new fires. If you see smoke or flames in the forest, call 310-FIRE to report it. Together, we can protect our beautiful province!
