Alberta is stepping into the spotlight! Our very own Minister Loewen will represent the province at the prestigious IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi from October 9 to 15. This event is a fantastic opportunity for Alberta to shine in the global discussions about biodiversity and conservation.

The congress, hosted by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, will gather conservation experts, Indigenous leaders, and youth from around the world. There will be forums, exhibitions, and assemblies where they will share knowledge, best practices, and innovative ideas on managing our natural resources.

Minister Loewen believes that Alberta serves as a great example when it comes to wildlife conservation. The congress allows us to share our success stories and learn from others while forging partnerships to strengthen Alberta’s conservation leadership.

During the event, Minister Loewen will not be alone; he’ll be accompanied by two government employees. They will engage in meaningful discussions and bring back valuable insights to Alberta. Keep an eye out for updates on their journey!
