This week has been exciting for Newfoundland and Labrador! They held their ninth draw of the year, inviting a total of 353 candidates through two provincial immigration programs - the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).

On September 12, the province issued invitations to 218 candidates through NLPNP and 135 under AIP. This month marks the highest number of AIP invitations issued so far in 2025!

So far, this year, Newfoundland and Labrador has issued a total of 2,018 invitations through NLPNP and 586 through AIP. If you're considering making a move, it’s crucial to understand how to navigate these programs and the steps involved!

The NLPNP has transitioned to an Expression of Interest (EOI) system, meaning applicants must now submit their interest to the Newfoundland and Labrador Office of Immigration before they can be invited to apply. The focus areas include healthcare, technology, and aquaculture.

For those interested in the AIP, you’ll need a job offer from a designated employer in one of the Atlantic provinces. Once you meet the eligibility criteria, there's even a special two-year work permit available to start working while waiting for your application to be processed.
