On the night of September 25, 2025, a shocking incident unfolded in Regina, Saskatchewan, resulting in an officer-involved shooting. The Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT) was notified and is now conducting an investigation into the events surrounding the tragedy.

The Regina Police Service (RPS) was carrying out a planned arrest linked to a domestic violence case involving a 22-year-old man. After trying to locate him without success, police targeted another residence where he was believed to be hiding.

During the arrest, a confrontation occurred, leading to three officers from the Tactical Support Team discharging their firearms, striking the man. Despite immediate first aid efforts, the man was pronounced deceased shortly after emergency services arrived.
