Read moreIf you're considering moving to Canada, North Bay in Ontario might just be the place for you! This charming city has unveiled its list of designated employers under the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP), providing a fantastic opportunity for foreign workers with job offers.
So, what is the RCIP? It's a special immigration program designed to help skilled workers find a pathway to permanent residence in Canada, particularly in smaller communities like North Bay. There are 14 communities in total participating in this pilot, and North Bay is eager to welcome new talent!
Before you pack your bags, make sure you have a job offer from one of the designated employers listed for North Bay. You'll also need to meet several other requirements, such as having the necessary education, work experience, language skills, and enough funds for settling in.
Once you've landed a job, your employer will need to apply for a community recommendation on your behalf during specified intake periods—typically the last week of each month. If all goes well, you’ll receive a recommendation certificate that allows you to apply for permanent residence through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
And if you're in a hurry to get started, don’t worry! You can apply for a work permit while your PR application is being handled.
North Bay has a variety of employers across sectors like health care, education, trades, and more. Some of these include:
Keep your options open—this is your chance to build a future in Canada!
Don't forget to check North Bay & Area RCIP's website regularly as they update their list of designated employers!
