This is where the Martin Family Initiative (MFI) steps in, continuing its vital partnership with the Government of Saskatchewan to empower First Nations and Métis youth through the Indigenous Youth Entrepreneurship Program (IYEP).
Launched in 2007, the IYEP is all about providing students like you with the tools to thrive. Through hands-on experiences in the business world, students gain not just financial literacy and communication skills, but also the confidence to pursue their dreams. Education Minister Everett Hindley puts it perfectly: "When students gain hands-on experience, they build the confidence and skills they need to shape their own futures."
In the upcoming 2025-26 school year, the MFI will bring this program to 16 schools in Saskatchewan, fostering an environment where Indigenous students can recognize entrepreneurial opportunities and map out exciting ventures.
