Education Community School Opening Moose Jaw

Big news for the Moose Jaw community! Today marks the grand opening of the city’s first joint-use elementary school, a fabulous addition aimed at serving the area’s growing and diverse population. This state-of-the-art facility brings together Coteau Hills Elementary and Our Lady of Hope Catholic School, creating a vibrant learning environment.

The new school, which merges four aging elementary schools, features modern classrooms, a multipurpose cultural room, a shared kitchen lab, and even a child care center for 51 children! No stone has been left unturned when it comes to building a nurturing and supportive space for students and their families.

Premier Scott Moe emphasized the importance of having a unified school where young learners can thrive, saying, “This will be a place where students are encouraged to grow and families feel part of the school community.” With a whopping investment of $68.2 million from the Government of Saskatchewan, this facility is designed not just for today, but for generations to come.

Imagine your children learning and growing in a space that’s been created with their needs in mind! With room for up to 1,100 students in Pre-kindergarten to Grade 8, this facility is truly a dream come true for many families in the area.

We hope that Coteau Hills Elementary becomes a cornerstone of the community, fostering collaboration and creativity among students and staff. Let’s embrace this exciting new chapter for education in Moose Jaw!
