New Draw Results: Newfoundland and Labrador's Immigration Programs
Exciting news for those eyeing immigration to Newfoundland and Labrador! On July 29, the province held its sixth immigration draw of the year, inviting candidates to apply through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP).
A total of 150 invitations were issued, split between the NLPNP and AIP—100 for the NLPNP and 50 for the AIP. This marks the lowest total of invitations since the province switched to an Expression of Interest (EOI) process. While AIP invitations remain steady, NLPNP numbers have seen a significant dip.
So far in 2025, Newfoundland and Labrador has issued a total of 1,818 immigration invitations, leaving 555 spaces available for the NLPNP and 152 for the AIP.
If you're considering applying, it's important to submit an EOI, as the new system requires it to secure an Invitation to Apply. Your profile will be evaluated based on the province's labor market needs, focusing on in-demand sectors like health care, IT, and aquaculture.
